A small Update

Hey guys, hey world, or whoever is still reading this blog,

Some of you may have noticed that my posts have decreased in number drastically, or, to be more precisely, stopped at all. I can not tell you the reason and I will not try to apologize, however I just wanted to tell you, that there won´t be any posts in the future, since I am not planning anything to do with this blog – I even think about disabling it. Still it is some kind of central knot for all my different online appearances. Therefore it will remain in this undecisive state for some time, until I plan to do anything about it. However, I am grateful for everyone still visiting this blog, and having a look at the few things I do online. Thank you! I just wanted to let you know these few things, to explain the situation.

At around 6 o´ clock pm yesterday i decided not to go on the party. Somehow I felt not well (i got ill again and I am still tired) and somehow I was not very motivated to got there. I think it´s just the same as always: Really bad music, a lot of annoying and stupid people and it´s really no fun watching other people drinking alcohol. I enjoyed my evening at home, where I watched a film together with my brother and then played a lot Bad Company 2. Being the best player, even if you lose the game, is very satisfying. Actually I just wanted to play one match League of Legends every day… But… I wonder if there will be a day when there is NO problem with LoL. Yesterday, unfortunately and typically there was again a new patch. And of course Riot is so fail that they can´t even manage to get their patch servers clean of bugs. But no, it wouldn´t be Riot, if it were so. So what actually happened is this: my game wanted to update itself and then downloaded a broken patch, installed it and then noticed in the middle of installation that there is a grave mistake, and that I should restart my application. I did as ordered and of course it did not work. After deleting and installing the game 3 times I had enough. I deleted everything that concerned LoL from my PC. Today I just downloaded the new version of LoL and, oh wonder, it worked! I hope there won´t be another fail patch today. But well… it´s a Free2Play game and you shouldn´t expect high quality.

Today I just did my duties at home as far as possible. I am not yet finished. I tried to draw and paint something today. It worked until a certain point when I could not keep up the motivation and just threw away the paper I was drawing on. I do not know what´s wrong with me. Maybe I should just try to do simple anatomical studies. I think I have the problem, that I have a lot of cool ideas but I lack the means to convert the thoughts into artworks. I should practise a lot more before I start to do paintings from my imagination, what actually never works. And I need some kind of project again, which I can attend to. It´s hard to draw something if you don´t have a concept or you don´t know what you are actually drawing for. Well… there are still a lot of things to do, and I have to get back to work. Maybe I´ll write again tonight. See you.

Somehow I got moderate headaches the last two days. Maybe it´s just a lack of sleep or my new beginning illness. Anyhow… I think it was just an very exhausting day. Was in the city the whole afternoon and had a driving lesson in the evening, which was actually very cool, cause I really improve with using a car. Played again a match League of Legends today – what I also did yesterday – and it lasted just half an hour. I´m very satisfied with that in fact. Now I have a lot more time for drawing, reading and other stuff. But surely I won´t waste that free time on school. It´s not worth it.

Don´t really know what to do now. I don´t feel like drawing or even painting anything. Actually I am very tired. I should read something or watch a movie. And I really should sleep sooner. Maybe creativity comes back when I am not tired anymore. By the way: tomorrow there is a party again. Maybe it will be not as bad as the one before. I´ll give it a chance at least. And for god´s sake I hope the damn DJ won´t smoke this time. Well, I did not hate him just for smoking but also for the terrible music he played. As I said I am no foe of tecno music but he played such a bad tecno music – primitive and dumb. Just like most of the people there. Well, I really really hope it will be better tomorrow. I just need to find someone who will fetch me and bring me there by car. It has been very cold the last time and I don´t want to be frozen into ice while driving my bike.

A short summary only for today, cause it´s late and I have not much time: I delivered the “Seminararbeit” – finally. Now it´s really done. There´s no way back, and it´s finished. I had two very… exciting driving lessons today, and I tell you: driving a car is really exhausting, at least for beginners like me. Played only half an hour today – League of Legends – lost the game, but did not start another one. I set myself the limit of a maximum of 1 single game per day. And I also drawed a bit today – huge success! Oh and I watched a very interesting reportage concerning the fall of Rome at around 300 p. Chr. n. History can be very interesting, if it is presented this way. So… got to go to sleep, I can barely keep my eyes open. Sleep well, good night!

It is done. I finished the “Seminararbeit”, finally. I am really happy now that this annoying work is over. To be honest, I did not put much effort in it and I think that will result in and average or bad grade. As long as i don´t get zero credits it will be okay. At least now I know that I am definitely NO scientist and I see now fun at all in doing research or making some scientific work, no matter what kind. I am an artist (well at least I claim to be one) and I did a test which proves that the  left part of my brain is stronger, what means that I am more creative than rational. That really fits. I hate maths, and I prefer to act according to my feelings and impressions, and, in fact, I am an escapist. I think it´s hard to be an escapist if you are some kind of rationalist. But I think I´m driftig away a bit… maybe that´s because of this strange ambient… well you can´t call it music… “stuff” I am listening right now. Here´s the link if you want to experience the same… mesmerizing serenity? This artist is really interesting… I think there will be much inspiration in this “music”.

What brings me to the next important point. Yesterday I started again to wander through Jamendo.com. If you are looking for interesting metal performance, as I did first, I think you will be also disappointed. But if you are looking for the non main stream stuff, something extraordinary, I think you will find a lot of nice treasures of music there. And, I discovered that I really am not against tecno music, especially trance. I already gave you the link in the Current Categories above. I can really recommend this music, if you want to give it a try. I never wanted to believe it, but music is much more fun if you don´t fix yourself on specific genres. It´s really an advantage to be open minded for new kinds of music.

Next point. I re-installed League of Legends. But before you start judging… I am not going to play this very often now. Somehow the game is lagging a lot and I had a lot of luck today, so I won a match. But as I said, it was really really only luck, cause I got a lot of easy kills from easy enemies. And I can proudly tell you that I successfully resisted the offer to play another game. 1 match per day is really enough, cause that already consumes about 1 hour, more or less. I played this game as an reward for finishing the “Seminararbeit”, and I have to admit that it was fun in fact to win the game, but I think that was an exception.  I won´t play the next days, I think, at least I don´t plan to do so. There are better games, for example Dragon Age Origins, which I started to play again, and it is really most satisfying to be entertained in such a great way. I also played a bit BC2 today, but somehow it did not work as well as LoL. There are two explanations: I was too bad, or the enemies were too strong. Well… to make things clear – I won´t play much over the next days. I plan to draw and read a lot. I hope I can keep my promises.

I am getting very tired right now… my god, this ambient stuff is like a dark lullaby. Makes you want to drown in a black lake of delirious dreams. I think I will head this call. Or I could simply read something, before I go to sleep. Well, one thing is fore sure: I will end this blog entry here and now. Good night, sleep well, and have some interesting dreams.

Good news… at least some good news. I did not play the whole day! Just the whole evening. I speant most of the time today with “real life” activities, such as working on a small film project with my brother and drawing a new map for my fantasy world. The film is going to be really good, and I really like my brother´s talent in movie making – he wrote a whole screenplay on his own and he´s also an amazing editor. I feel honored to be an “actor” in his little film project. The map I was talking about before, is a new version. Yesterday I tried to create onw without planning anything. Well, it looked nice, but there was no concept behind it and so I wasn´t really satisfied. So afterwards (yesterday, very late in the night) I made some cluster and collected  all my ideas, wrote them down and put them in an order. Basing on this idea collection I drew a new “raw” map today, using ink and pencil. It´s a basic thing, which I will post-edit on the pc, using Photoshop. That will include for example adding colours, or the most essential thing on a map: names of rivers, mountains, seas, cities and so on. I also got some really nice ideas today while listening to Tool, but I won´t release them. I want to keep this concept secret until it is published (IF it is published anyways). But surely I will do some artworks to illustrate my fantasy world, and I think there is no problem in showing them to you. But first of all I have to MAKE those artworks. So far the creative part of the day.

I also spent (again) a lot of time playing. As you already have read, I finally unlocked all items of Recon, Assault and Medic in BC2. It was exhausting, but now I finally have all that stuff. The only class missing is Engineer.  Sometimes it´s really fun to play Engineer but he´s also very boring sometimes. And he completely doesn´t work on pure infantry maps. Well, some would say, that shooting an RPG on infantry also works, but this is absolutely idiotic and stupid, cause this proves you are too bad, to handle normal weapons. Well, so far from the battlefield.

I wish you a good night. I´m going to watch another episode of “The Tudors” (Season 3) now – I already watched one today, but the suspense is killing me… Maybe I´ll also have some new ideas now, that I need to bring down on paper. Or I´ll read something. It´s all a matter of randomness. See you!

Sorry. I forgot the post yesterday. I somehow wasted the whole day playing. Most time BC2, then later on in the evening I finished Mass Effect 2 and started DAO Awakening again. Today I´ve also played a lot, but playing a Bioware Game really is no wasted time. Today i just wanted to do something for school and failed completely. I didn´t even start. Maybe I can convince myself tomorrow to get a move on. At least I did something creative today. I began (again) creating a new world. It´s something that I really love to do. The bad thing is: I´ve done this before and never was satisfied with a world that I designed, I´m always starting something new. I hope that this time it´ll work. A self created fantasy world also would give me an environment for paintings and drawings. It´s a good feeling to make something on my own again… Right now I´m really tired… I think I´ll play a bit more DAO and then go to sleep. Good night!

No long post today. It´s too late. The “party” yesterday was terrible. I´ll report about this tomorrow if i don´t forget it. Played a lot today, I´m nearly rank 16 now in BC2. Also had two driving lessons today, and I tell you: driving a car is so difficult. But maybe I´m simply too under-trained. I think this will get better during practicing a lot. Got to go now. Plan for tomorrow: Don´t play, but draw! Maybe it´ll work. Good night!

Holidays ahoy!  I´m not as happy as I should be, I think. There´s a lot of work to be done, especially for school. And I am sure I won´t enjoy that. Apart from that there´s also a small operation concerning my teeth. I´m getting an implant for the gap that is left between the teeth since I crashed one tooth and fractured plenty others during an bike accident. The doctor said, this won´t be a big thing, but I still am a bit afraid. It´s never a good feeling if someone puts something extremely sharp on your flesh and cuts… blood ahoy!

School was easy today. I had only 2 lessons. Very relaxing. Afterwards I spent hours in playing Bad Company 2. I ran around as an sniper using a SMG (!). Ridiculously I score more kills with a rapid fire weapon than with an extremely accurate sniper rifle. With doing so I unlocked a very good sniper rifle, that nearly needs only one shot to kill an enemy. But still I think it´s more fun to play as an Assault or Medic. I think a sniper is most useful for killing enemy snipers. Well, you could also sneak around the sniper and bash the knife into his neck, but hey, that would mean, that snipers are completely useless… it´s fun, sometimes, to be the sniper. But just sometimes.

I write this post very soon, cause I´m planning to go out today. Let me put things clear: I do not like going out. Especially going on parties. Reasons: most of the people which are there are simply annoying and dumb. The music is terrible – just all this mainstream crap that you only like if you are drunken like a homesick sailor. Thats by the way the third reason – alcohol. I don´t like this poison. I never drank some and I will never do so in future. It´s like an oath to myself. Besides I see no sense in drinking alcohol. There are no advantages in doing so, just disadvantages. And it costs a lot. At least it´s fun watching drunken people. The puke, stumble, can´t speak and look really really pathetic. Maybe I should take my camera with me. Dear reader, you might ask, why, and that is a very good question, I go to such parties at all. Well, I discovered, that sitting at home and chatting with people via the internet works, but that there is more fun in talking to people in real life. I just wonder if there will be anyone interesting at all on this “orgy of drinking-until-you-puke”. We will see.

I have to leave now. I still got to shower and prepare myself for this… “event”. Anyways, wish me luck. Maybe I´ll come back in one piece, then. Good night!
